The ubiquitous utilization of precise, composite symbolism within obscure Esoteric Glyphs has transpired in every Occult Mystery Tradition, and yet this practice has been commonly regarded by most people, even by individuals interested in such topics, as simply elaborate mystification. Nevertheless, the true meaning of these occult symbols remains an utterly indecipherable grand enigma for the uninitiated masses. For the people genuinely fascinated by the symbolism and desirous of learning the hidden meaning behind it, they are often incapable of unraveling the layers of Esoteric Arcana sealed within myriad of Symbols.
Furthermore, though these individuals are interested in them, they lack the degree of knowledge and experience in their Symbolic uses for ascertaining the underlying principals involved in these occult symbols with their hidden depths, ultimately perceiving them as simple objects. For those skeptical or dismissive individuals that stumble upon these occult symbols, they almost invariably stoop to the materialistic reductionism and stereotypical ridicule, characteristic of the uninitiated, of these Sacred Emblems that they are entirely unequipped to comprehend. Consequently, without having studied deeply in the disciplines of Esoteric Philosophy, Cosmology, and Law, Occult Symbolism will inevitably remain veiled to the vast majority of people. This entirely due to inexperience and can be rectified by proper study of the Occult Symbols.
The use of Occult Symbolism arose out of the necessity for relaying spiritual concepts to the untrained minds of Mankind, thus Esoteric Glyphs were designed for such a purpose with Occult symbols as their foundation. This practice of using seemingly simplistic Occult Symbolism as a methodology became the hallmark of occult spiritual education in the Mystery Schools.
Moreover, comprehension of occult symbols formed the basis of one's mental augmentation and subsequent access to the higher states of consciousness. This method essentially enabled the Hierophants to reduce the Divine, Spiritual, and Psychic principles down into tangible formulaic symbols which embodied these cosmic principles within geometric forms for use in subconscious impression.
Thus, by way of regular meditation upon such sacred occult symbols, the neophyte in training could over time imbue his subconscious mind with the knowledge and concepts pertaining to the symbol (s), absorbing it into his inner self.
The reasoning for the general utilization of glyphs and occult symbols in the Mystery Traditions is due to their efficacy in accessing latent cognitive faculties of man and penetrating into typically inaccessible aspects of his subconscious mind. The nature of the Cosmos investigated by these Adepts of Wisdom reside in planes and states of existence outside the normal boundaries of our physical universe.
Therefore, the investigation of such invisible, non-material planes requires a particularly special type of mental training which uses Occult Symbolism as a foundation. The techniques used to prepare individual neophytes for accessing these planes must be capable of awakening the necessary inner cognitive and intuitive abilities of man's Superconsciousness, and ages ago it was discovered that Occult Symbols are the most efficacious tool for the Mind in this regard.
The Adepts of the Sacred Mystery Traditions found a multifaceted tool in the use of Occult Symbolism. Not only was the methodology highly effective for training consciousness to perceive hidden realities, but it was also extraordinarily useful in passing down the sacred knowledge to future generations of initiates in symbolic forms able to be transmitted, in their underlying meaning, across time.
Consequently, each successive generation of Mystery Teachers could deduce the sacred principles involved or imbued in the Occult Symbols and instruct their students according to the Cosmic Laws and Knowledge gleaned from them.
Even if a tradition became degenerated and lost the keys to decipher the sacred occult symbols passed down to them, the symbols themselves remained embodied with the essence of the principles encased in their form and structure. This allowed an individual sufficiently skilled to potentially rediscover the hidden concepts within the symbolism and reinstruct humanity regarding them.
Occult Symbolism within the Esoteric Mystery Tradition is essentially the reduction of Archetypal forces into cognizable Geometric Forms. Thus, the innate characteristics of all the archetypal, cosmic structures and formative energies, coordinating cosmic densification & differentiation of substances, are constructed upon Sacred Geometric Patterns pervading the entirety of the Manifestation process.
These Sacred Geometrics are present throughout all phases or states of manifestation and are the quintessential building blocks of Cosmic Evolution. Thus, the nature of this archetypal pattern of recurring Geometry is Ubiquitous on the various planes, operate on particular pattern formations, and correspondingly alternate in degrees depending upon the rarefication involved within any given non-material realms (being abstract Spirit or gross Matter).
Consequently, this situation generates a discoverable and comprehendible logical pattern capable of subsequent reduction into universal Occult Symbols, ones that always retain their viability as representative of natural phenomenon or LAW.
The Uniformity of the geometric occult symbols, with the subtle alteration of them along culturally lines, is one of the major reasons for their eternal utilization in the mystery traditions of all ages. As an example, there is the spiritual concept of a Trimurti (three in one) Divinity in nearly every Sacred Tradition or Religion of consequence, yet the Symbolic Device varies depending upon the culture referenced but still depicts an identical concept.
Thus, in the Druidic Mysteries there is the interconnected Triple Spiral and in the Hermetic Mysteries there is the triangle (male principle) within a square (female principle) and both inside a larger Circle (the One unity) signifying the 3 in one. This is Occult Symbolism at its fundamental core.
The nature of consciousness is formatted into roughly three states: the everyday state of egoic self-focused 3d consciousness, the deep subconscious or unconscious state, and the ascendent illuminated superconscious state. The 1st conscious state involving perception of the material and illusory plane is useless for occult endeavors. The 2nd conscious state is typically inaccessible for the majority of people yet is the key to reaching the 3rd superconscious state of perception.
This is due to the subconscious mind being the foundation of both our seemingly "conscious" actions and the steppingstone to accessing higher states of Super consciousness through special reconfiguration using Occult Symbolism. Thus, to attain access to higher states the lower ones must be mastered and then restructured through meditation upon the appropriate occult symbols resonating with those higher states and ensouled with their vibratory energies.
Consequently, the subconscious mind is of paramount importance to the aspiring Occultist and upon which he shall focus the majority of his energy in the initial stages of training.
One of the last reasons underlying the Use of Occult Symbolism within the Sacred Mystery Tradition is for the protection of such knowledge from being used to gain temporal advantage and power over humanity. The nature of Occult Symbolism is entirely based upon the intentions of its utilizer, for evil or for good.
This is because its use is designed to alter internal psychological programming, for the aspiring white magic adept, and unfortunately can also be potentially exercised upon unsuspecting people for psychospiritual manipulation, as is being overtly done today by NWO social engineers. It was not intended for such uses and was sacrilege to the Hierophants of Antiquity.
Thus, the knowledge pertaining to its hidden meanings and proper use was guarded by the Adepts for centuries remaining utterly obscured and indecipherable to the majority of humanity out of fear it would be misused. However, its abstract and esoteric knowledge could be deciphered if approached with a pure heart and skilled mind, even without an adept to teach them, and would never lose its intrinsic meaning even after the Mysteries were nearly destroyed by Christendom and its fanatics.
Unfortunately, long after the fall of the Ancient Mystery Schools that had protected it for generations, being only untouched in Tibetan Occultism inaccessible to most Westerners, the secret teachings of its Occult Symbols and impact on psychology did fall into the hands of Dark occultists and is being used today to further the Agendas of Transhumanists of the NWO.
The rest of this Page on Occult Symbolism will be delineated in a specialized systematic form with each proceeding section focusing on a singular Occult School's myriad of Esoteric symbols, their conceptual basis for general symbolism, and concise illustrations corresponding to that School's most significant Occult Symbols.
